Ultimamente temos tido procura para executar comissões relacionadas com BD, algo que muito nos agrada, pois o simples facto de um particular desejar possuir uma peça original nossa é recompensadora. Desenhar o Hellboy foi um prazer extra, obrigado Stefan!

Lately we've had some demand for commissions, something that pleases us deeply. for the simple fact of having interest by people to have one original piece of ours is rewarding. Drawing Hellboy was an extra pleasure, thanks Stefan!

Neste desafio tínhamos já duas semanas de atraso de BNN, estávamos então focados em fazer a ilustração "Grande"... quando ao esboçar surge a necessidade de introduzir um ponto de referência para efeito de escala. E a ideia surgiu, colocando o Akira como tema da semana seguinte "Motoqueiros Pós-Apocalípticos" e com isso, matar dois coelhos...

Espero que gostem.

In this challenge we had one BNN week's theme behind, and were focused on doing the "Big" illo... but sketching, with the need to show a recognizable a scale point of reference the idea sparked. Placing Akira as the second week's theme "Post Apocalyptic Bikers" and kill two rabbits...

Muitas novidades no navio do Almirante, naturalmente, pois o blogue não é actualizado há mais de um ano, Sim, um ANO! Em parte porque a vida de freelancer é bastante exigente, uma crise económica em Portugal e em parte por assumida desorganização. Fica desde já a nota pessoal de manter o blogue mais actualizado. Voltando ao início, entre as novidades estamos envolvidos num belo projecto, o colectivo de artistas Brand New Nostalgia, que após desenvolver temas semanais ilustrados pelos membros avança agora para a aventura de compilar em formato artbook, chamado kaBOOMbox! Nesse âmbito estamos a levar a cabo uma campanha de crowdfunding, no Kickstarter uma vaquinha via-web. Peço-vos que nos ajudem a materializar este livro - um artbook concebido directamente do estirador dos artistas para as suas mãos. Ah! E tivemos a honra de receber o prémio Central Comics de melhor arte para a nossa colaboração no livro escrito por David Soares e editado pela Saída De Emergência "É De Noite Que Faço As Perguntas".

Lots of news aboard the admiral's ship, of course, sin it's been over a year without updates, yes, one YEAR! Partly because a freelance life is quite demanding, one economic crisis in Portugal, and yes we're sloppy. Mental note to update regularly. Back to the beginning, among the news we're involved in a great project the Brand New Nostalgia artist colective, after developing weekly themes illustrated by all we move on to compile an artbook, called kaBOOMbox! So in that regard we're developing a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, no Kickstarter. So we ask you to help us materialize this dream - an artbook produced directly from the artist's easel to your hands. Oh! And we had also the honor of receiving the Central Comics award for best art in the book "É De Noite Que Faço As Perguntas" written by David Soares and published by Saída De Emergência.

Recentemente fomos honrados com o convite da revista Computer Arts Portugal para exibir um pequeno portfólio de ilustração e simultaneamente criar uma tira de BD dedicada ao tema dessa edição "Re-Anima O Teu Design", a ideia surgiu-nos rápida e naturalmente e o processo literalmente como é contado, em jeito auto-biográfico.



Recently we were honored with the invitation to Computer Arts Portugal magazine, the issue was dedicated to Re-Energize Your Design, the idea came quite naturally, in an autobiographical kind-of-way...
